In conjunction with traditional methods of execution, Nakashima’s lyrical designs encourage harmony and elegance, while maintaining the redwoods’ raw and organic characteristics. Accordingly, each piece stands as a contemporary transformation paying homage to the grandeur of its predecessor. Mira Nakashima presents this collection as a both a marriage of natural form and daily function as well as an attempt to blend the physical environment with her traditional spiritually.
